Not Dead

I gave myself a day away from the computer, from work, from civilized society and from the finer points of personal hygiene and grooming yesterday. Man, this cold is a bad one. I either slept or slugged out on the couch watching bad tv yesterday; tissues, hot lemon & honey drinks and ibuprofen all within arms reach. I feel a little better today, not much but certainly not as feverish, and enough to shower and leave the house for a couple of hours. It was good to walk around in the sun for a while.

I'm hoping to feel a bit better tomorrow, enough to go to Mardi Gras Fair Day and then the gay bloggers meet in the evening that I mentioned last week. (If any of my Sydney 'mo blogger buddies feel like going, could you confirm in the comments? Just in case I don't feel up to it tomorrow and I need to let you know. James - I got your email.)

Back to bed for me. As you were.

I don't think I will be there, but I hope it goes well. Let us know how it goes if you get there, huh? Hope you feel better soon. Mwah!Mwah!

The undeniable beauty of parquet flooring is financially out of reach for many people. A cost comparison between

replacing the old worn out wall to wall carpeting and installing parquet flooring will show that the parquet choice

is less expensive if you install it yourself.

If you don't have sub flooring which can be sanded and varnished, you might consider do it yourself parquet

flooring. Eight or twelve inch squares of finished oak are available in several shades of stain from dark walnut

like oak to pale natural tones. The wood grain is preserved in all finishes and the final clear coat will stand up

to most traffic.

Sorry.

Glad you're feeling a bit better.

Mmmmmm, parquet.

I hope you do feel better. As you said, summer colds are so rotten because you try to do all the good stuff like drink tea but it's too freaking hot.

I am not going to Fair Day because I'll be down here performing, shame because I would have caught up with you.

Hrm, I'm thinking I might buy some parquetry flooring tomorrow.

it sounds you are doing the right things.
it is now a matter of waiting out the aches.

Wow. Reading about parquet flooring gave me wood.

bada bing! :: turns pink ::

Oh, girlina---don't I know what you are going through. I have the same version only up here in the polar ice cap it's a "winter cold." I have plowed through 3 boxes of tissues in two weeks. Seriously, the stuff draining from my nose is, well...I don't know where it's coming from but if my already limited IQ drops I'll know it was brain matter.

But, still--I've managed a good wank today. And I'm hopeful for tomorrow's 'undeniable beauty' of wood. Feel better, love. Share a tea & lemon?

M-H, I have to say it's looking doubtful that I'm going to make it at this point. If I rally and decide to go, I'll let you know. Hopefully there'll be others.

I considered deleting the parquetry flooring spam, just so future readers would think "What is it with these crazy homos and their obsession with hardwood floors? What next track lighting?" My favourite part are the line breaks for dramatic pauses... genius.

Thanks for the sweet comments everyone. Tyson, any chance we can meet up before you go back to Adelaide? MG I did notice that you were similarly mucosal. We're still cycling together I see! Get better soon.

Parquet is so good with sour cream and chopped chives!

But seriously, folks. When you are having the lemon and honey in hot water add some grated fresh ginger root. You might feel better and will certainly smell better.

Get well soon and enjoy your summer. We have WINTER right now and it's a bitch.

Kenyo, good advice!

Tyson, ignore me. Having a "Senior's Moment'" - I blame the drugs. Or I would, if I'd taken any.
