I ordered a combo of two different asian tofu dishes with rice for lunch, thinking that the one with the obscure name was some sort of curry. Once I started eating I discovered it was actually a type of satay, choc full o' peanuts.
It tasted so good, I ate the whole damn thing anyway even though I'm allergic. Live life on that edge!

So, are you dead yet?
Thankfully, no! The effects are pretty mild for me, I'm not one of those 'clutch throat, roll on floor' persons...
Be careful... allergies strengthen as you get older, not the other way around. That scares me, because I have some major allergies, and I worry about what they will be like as I get older!!!
My main allergy is lactose, and I've been off milk for decades now. It seems to have lessened though, because it's not quite so catastrophic when I do have some. However, my cat allergy has gotten worse. I don't have a pet so I'm not around cats regularly, and when I do the reaction is stonger now. (It doesn't stop me petting them though, because I WUV THEM.)
Some things seem to lessen with lack of exposure, and some are the opposite.
totally agree TOA - you grow out of some allergies and into some after being triggered.
so glad you didn't choke! ;)
