What Would Nicole Ritchie Do?

I swear, I don't know how these tiny Hollywood bag ladies do it. I'm dieting and it's hard yo. Not least of which because I know there is an open packet of Mint Slices in the office refridgerator.

When the room is quiet enough, they actually do have a siren call that's just audible. Bitches.

Me too! I'm trying to lose 9lbs. before March 10th; a friend is having a 50th B-day party with a cast of hundreds. I NEED to be starlet thin!

I was doing really well yesterday until the BF brought home little tiny carrot cake cupcakes with inch thick cream frosting. Cutest little buggers; ate three. :(

Chocolate actually knows my name. I can hear it from under the bag of peas in the freezer, calling me...

I gave up on starlet thin years ago. Now I go for "not breaking chairs with my ass"

Oh sweetie darling sweetie, your looking fab.

Are you binging less, or purging more?

[*Vacuous stare*]

PS. One of the very few things I can ever remember winning was a packet of Mint Slices back when I was in Kindergarten. At 5 years old I ate the entire packet on the way home from school, almost making myself sick, cause I new my parents would make me share them with my little sister when I got home.

Its all been down hill from there really, although at least I am somewhat willing to share them these days ....

[Homer Voice] Hmmmmmmm ... Mint .... Slice .... uuuuunnnnhhhh

Michael G - you're already 'leading man handsome' and now you'll be 'starlet thin' too?! Did you have a shamestorm after the cupcakes?

Sherri, breaking furniture is always a wake-up call, don't you think?

Bodhi, thanks for the compliment. That mint slice story is tres funny. Mmmm, bingeing even at that age... :-)

Now boys....advice from the chocolate queen herself (if you ever need a recepie for ANYTHING choc based drop me a line.) Choclolate addiction is mandatory in this industry but we do need to curb oursleves occassionaly :-) Our plan is.... load the fridge with packs of mint slice we MUST eat them at all times of the day. Believe it or not after a week of this you usually keep clear of mint slices for at least 2 months....just have to hope no smart arse brings the Tim Tams in next week. Speaking of which I too have a cherished childhood memory of eating a whole pack of Tim Tams whilst watching Peter Sellers' "The Party"...and I did make myself sick, in my sleep. Kept me off Tim Tams for years. Also gave me an anti Pavlov effect every time I see that movie now.Better go.....I hear the new malt choch from Cadbury calling me from the fridge.

Miss E, what our gentle readers don't know is that you are in fact whippet thin. And so therefore, should be the subject of much envy!

I haven't broken any furniture yet (at least, not by sitting on it). Like I said, not doing it is the goal I maintain, despite the siren song of chocolate.

Also, really good dark chocolate is lower in fat.

...and high in anti-oxidants, and I gather that oxidants are to be feared, whatever they are. So, it's even like good for you. I LOVE that.

I'm not at the furniture breaking stage either, thank goodness! Glad to hear you aren't. That would be an expensive problem.

Michael, don't think I overlooked your nuts comment. I understand their siren call, all too well.

as well as antioxidats you will be pleased to know that chocolate is full of (going off the top of my head, I may be missing a few letters)phenylalanine which is the amino acid this is rsponsible for the chemical pathway that makes you feel good when you have a hug etc....why us sensitive souls crave chocolate when you aren't getting that special sort of affection........

Really? Well cover some hottie in chocolate sauce and call me greedy, honey!

greedy
I am with you on that one...I make a particularly good choc mousse that is best eaten off scrumtious bods.

Choc Mousse. Ooooooh, duly noted Miss E. With a little bit of cream ...
