Lunchtime Stroll

I took those itchy feet of mine for a lunchtime walk today. Just through the city streets, down to World Square and back, with a detour into JB HiFi to grab a copy of the Serenity DVD. It's so lovely out today, the sun is shining and it's a mild 25C (around 80F). Business suit cuties are stripped down to the shirtsleeves and the road workers have for the most part taken off their shirts. Life's good.

I took my camera along for the stroll, snapped some of the Year of The Dog themed decorations that are lining the streets, and that get more in evidence as you get closer to Chinatown. I've raved about Sydney a number of times on this blog, but the city is looking fine today. The old dame's been tarted up a bit with planter boxes and colourful banners, the sky is a huge bowl of blue and there's just enough breeze to make it all pleasant.

Happy.

Where is JB Hi-Fi in Sydney? I wish they'd open one down here.

I just did the long walk thing yesterday, but I went along the beach. I also got disasterously sunburnt.

Tyson, JB Hi-Fi is in the basement level of Galleries Victoria, just off George St here in Sydney. There is a big one at Penrith Plaza too, and I'm not sure if there are any others. They're a relatively new arrival to Sydney, I think they started in Melbourne.

Bummer about the sunburn, it's always something I have to be careful of.

You know, we saw Serenity, without having seen the show, and thought it rocked! Maybe we should check out the show...

Duane you MUST. The tv show absolutely rocks, and fills in a lot of the characterisations and backstory that are taken as given in the film.

Thanks for your replies. I saw JB in Melbourne, and visited one in Brisbane, but never seen them in Sydney before (but it's been a while since I have made the trip).
