Get Fresh At The Weekend (I'm Showin' Out)

This week has been the first 5 day week I have worked in over a month (thanks to Easter holidays, a sick day, and then ANZAC Day). I have worked 5 whole days this week you guys, and I'm all like this like really sucks and stuff. You know? Exhausting.

Some habits are hard to break, but apparently 'having a work ethic' isn't one of them.

So anyhoo, that explains why there's an extra TG edge to this week's TGIF. It's now after 3pm which means that the wind-down has officially begun. It's the weekend y'all! This weekend looks like being another fun social one; late morning Yum Cha tomorrow with Mikey (the lovely ex) and other friends, and Sunday afternoon tea to celebrate GadgetGirl's graduation (and to say "Hi" to her mom who is visiting from the U.S. of A.).

Sadly I won't be able to make the pub knitting get together on Sunday afternoon, but you win some you lose some. I don't think I've really blogged about the pub knitting on a Sunday afternoon, have I? It involves a beer garden, beer (coincidentally), around a dozen knitters (quite a few of which are guys - some even straight), food, and lots of laughs. I've been the past 2 weekends and had a blast. 2pm(ish) onwards in the beer garden of The Courthouse Hotel, Newtown if anyone is interested.

I'm also getting jabbed with needles tomorrow morning to have my cholesterol checked. Cue the 'dum, dum, dum' trepidatious music. The way I've been eating prior to this week, I'm kind of expecting the result to say Contents: Melted Cheese.

well, that would be both normal and even desired, if you lived in Wisconsin.
I hope you are a good Edam or farmhouse cheddar.

How strange - the word verification for this comment contains "...egggs"

Ha! There are those weeks when you feel shame about what you eat. Sometimes (though I try for rarely), I feel like the fatty contents of my stomach could even turn my belly as translucent as the fish and chip paper it came in.

You'll be missed :( Have a great weekend anyway!

My diet is usually close to pristine, so doesn't it figure that the weekend before I have my blood profile, it's a festival of cupcakes and martinis? Who knew a bar mitzvah was so carb-laden? So is it the bris that's all about protein? I can never keep that straight.

Good luck with the prick, Homes.
