Which Day Is "Hump Day" If It's Only A 4 Day Working Week?

We're past the halfway mark chickens, a 4 day weekend looms. Huzzah! Of course, two short weeks means two weeks of short pays which means Hello! to pot noodles. Eh. If you live in Sydney maybe you should send me your address so I can come around for a free dinner sometime in the next 2 weeks, actually come pick me up to save on train fares m'kay? You're the best, in advance. Got any wine?

My short list of things to get done before the weekend includes stocking up on supplies. Buying some nice yarn to start knitting a scarfe with, buying some potting mix to plant out pots of Sweet Pea seeds I've had in the cupboard since last autumn and buying this book (Borders have it for $10 off). Wow, it's all buy, buy, buy around these parts.

Oh and food shopping. Those pot noodles ain't going to buy themselves.

Did you see him On "Australian Story"? That's what kicked off my interest in him, and I guess it was the popularity of the program that lead to the book. Interesting story. Cute guy too, IMHO.

Mmmm, I saw an interview with him around the time Brokeback came out. Seemed like a cool, unassuming guy. I didn't know he had a book. Lemme know how it is, k?

My random morning shuffle pulled up some of that instrumental music from Brokeback the other day and now that shit is haunting me all over again.

The music from "Brokeback" was haunting, wasn't it? Certainly added to the mood of the film.

We have a really well made program here called "Australian Story". It's a documentary about one particular person each week, where they basically have the ability to tell their own story. No invasive interviewer, just the person as the star of the show. Usually they aren't famous people, but someone who has an interesting story to tell.

Adam was profiled in an episode just after "Brokeback Mountain" was released, and it was the first time I had heard his story. Fascinating.

Outside of a dog, a book is mans bestfriend

Inside of a dog, it is too dark to read

Attributed to Groucho Marx ;)

y'know, I don't usually watch Australian Story any more. they seemed to have a run of stories I think they meant to be 'inspirational', which I just found 'depressing, actually'. no more, thanks... unusual for Aunty, and she's all I watch these days.
