Mid-Century Fabulous

I'm in love with the collection of mid-century illustrations, collectibles, cruise ship interiors and vintage book covers Tony Davies has posted on his Flickr photostream Bonito Club. In the mid 70s my sister and her then husband travelled to England on the ageing "Galileo" cruise ship, and it's fun to think that they may well have had a drink right here.

ooh how delicious! love it. my parents took me on a cruise on the original Oriana in the 80's not long before she was retired (I htink maybe scrapped as well). faded gentility, not shabby though... after I heard she was gone, I was extra glad of nicking the ashtray and a few other gewgaws ;-)

Ha! You were preserving them for posterity, not just plain old nickin'.
