Is Imitation The Sincerest Form Of Flattery?

Probably not, if you're a designer who comes up with original concepts for a living. Sometimes imitation crosses the line and becomes outright copying, and it's interesting to see the just how blatant some of this design copying is. Now there is a whole museum dedicated to showcasing it.

The Museum Plagiarius (or Plagiarism Museum) of Germany. Awesome.

(Oh, and I really like the design of the building it's in too. I wonder if anyone will copy it?)

A great idea works all the time...whether its $5/ or $500/-.

Sometimes flattery comes in all shapes and sizes...Look at the manufacturer of latex! Talk about stretching an idea

There was a story in the Economist recently about the Chinese copying the new BMW X5 but how they still couldn’t crack the recipe for the 11 Herbs and Spices of KFC.

It seems the important things are still safe. :-)

And the journo's name is Tiplady. Ha! Very appropriate for a lot of junk. Though I wouldn't mind the dancing salt & pepper shakers
