'Tis The Season To Be Screeching

I'm a huge bundle of stress today. Our office is closing for the holidays from lunchtime tomorrow, when we head off for our staff Christmas lunch, and of course we are up to the eyeballs in work that needs to be done before then. The office is tense, everyone is tired, one of my bosses (the one who ended up in hospital with a stress related physical meltdown just over a week ago) is barking orders and stomping around telling us not to plan on going home anytime soon.

It's not normally this bad, but right now it's off the hook. Thank God for these little wonder tablets, otherwise I'd probably be having an aneurism right now. I've barely started my Christmas shopping, and am going to have to try and get it all done on Thursday. That should hopefully be doable.

Jolly? Hmmm, not yet. Maybe in a few days.

You're so lucky! I have to work right up to Christmas. Probably till lunch on Friday at this stage. *sigh*

Wanna trade? Seriously, I could pick up my bag, walk out the door and not come back right at this moment. Urgh. Did I also mention that my boss is a chain smoker who has been forced to give up for medical reasons. (ie she's channelling her inner raging bitch right now)

Scribble her private phone number in public toilets so people who want a good time would call her. *wicked* :P

In situations like yours, I prefer these little wonder pills (http://tinyurl.com/eytrm), but I'm sure those vitamins work well too.
PS If that offer to trade still stands, I'm working Christmas eve, yo.

Buck up, sweetie. It will all get done. Work expands to fill the time. That's what management-types always say; me--I just pop a Xanax and surf the madness on a wave of "what?! me worry?"

But seriously: if you shop Thursday how will Cartier get that gift to me?

Sounds like you just need some "pirin" tablets. LOL! Sorry that everything is going crazy... maybe it will make your relaxing time off of work more rewarding!!

Thanks for the 'buck up' messages kids. Today I am an ocean of calm, or at least until I finish eating my breakfast... Despite calling her a bitch I do have compassion for her, she ended up in hospital with stress related medical conditions. She gets pretty strung out, but the flipside is she can also be enormous fun and very generous. It's just hard to remember that some times.

Christmas lunch later today down by the water will be the perfect antidote. It's 32C forecast for today (about 80F or something?).

Miss Guy, are you telling me I special ordered from Donatella and everything, and it was Cartier you really wanted?
