I Wanna Bring You Close To My, I Wanna Bring You Close To My Lips Yeah

Bright sunny morning? - check
Industrial strength cleaning products? - check
Stereo? - check

My 'La Crawford Ajax Mix' top 5 songs to scrub the bathroom to:
  1. "Professional Widow" by Tori Amos (Amand Van Helden's Star Trunk Mix)
  2. "I am Woman" by Cassius feat. Jocelyn Brown (Extended mix)
  3. "Brimful of Asha" by Cornershop (Fatboy Slim Edit)
  4. "One of My Kind" by Rogue Traders Vs INXS
  5. "4 My People" by Missy Elliott (Basement Jaxx Remix Radio Edit)

None of this is particularly new, but crank it loud enough and the dirt just disappears. (Kinda makes you gay though.)

Yes indeed, spring has indeed sprung. Saturday was indeed one of those picture perfect and absolutely glorious warm blue-sky sun shimmering-off-the-harbour days in Sydney that make you happy with the sheer joy being alive in such a great city.

The sky was a vast sea of blue, and everything was bathed in that bright light that just made the colours look even more vivid, including the blooming spring flowers whose heady scent filled the air. Birds were singing, and the warmth of the sun gave promises of soon to be enjoyed days on the beach.

I was soaking it all up and loving every minute of it, as I too did all those important weekend chores. Although for me, that meant my weekly visit to my gay therapist over on the northside (don't be too alarmed, thats just what I call my hairdresser, he was away on my usual Thursday booking this week), and then into the city itself for some serious shopping, cafe's and hanging out before heading home.

Once home, I further busied myself and watched a Eurasure DVD from the comfort of my own bed (chores are just sooo exhausting, don't you think?) for a few hours, and then showered and changed before heading out to a galaxy far far away (the Western Suburbs) to pick up The Kid.

As it turns out, she then took me to the Movies (in the city again) on the way home for a belated Fathers Day present. Wallace and Grommet and The Attack of the Were Rabbit. Hysterical. It was sans THE Rabbit though, so that gives us an excuse to go back again sometime soon and see it again.

And my oh my ... didn't the weather just bring out all the Sydney hotties on Saturday? Parading around all buffed and cute in clinging t-shirts, muscle shirts and singlets. Hmmmmmm. I even saw more than a few that we soaking up the rays shirtless!

Oh .... my ..... Brad!

Is it any wonder that I just love this city? Bring on Summer!
