Boos! & Yays!

Freakgirl's post of Boos! & Yays! made me realise that a) I hadn't done one of these for a while and b) there's some Boo-worthy and Yay-worthy things to share:
  • BOO! for last night's dullish Dancing With The Stars finale. Too much negativity towards Arianne & Carmelo made it a forgone conclusion from the get-go.
  • YAY! for my newest obsession So You Think You Can Dance! [Warning: major spoiler! I didn't realise the show is already over in the U.S. and the website splashpage has "Congratulations XXXX, winner of So You Think You Can Dance!" Oh crap. BOO!]

  • YAY! for really, really good fruit salad.
  • BOO! for leaking take-away containers. Sticky fingers, much? And not in a good way.

  • YAY! for The Family Stone which I finally got around to seeing like a year after its release, and after buying the DVD on a sale table. I heart writer/director Tom Bezucha! Oh, and hello, cute!
  • BOO! for the sound cutting in and out on the extras.

  • YAY! for feeling really happy and healthy lately.
  • BOO! for friends going through tough times. I'm thinking of you, and you know who you are. *mwah*

Really happy and healthy, eh? That's good to hear. Still sticking to the new diet?

And speaking of food... have you ever tried Urban Bites' fruit salad? Best on King Street.

Thanks. Yeah, I've stuck pretty close to the No Wheat trial that I'm on and I do feel pretty good. I've been buying an excellent fruit salad from Harris Farm Markets in Parramatta (it's near work, I don't make the trip special). Good value at $4.50 for a tub too big to eat in one sitting.

Well, I am sitting here eating carrot and celery sticks and a punnet of strawberries for lunch having had Bircher muesli for breakfast... and I feel deprived. So well done you.

...I feel deprived.

I had to check that wasn't a typo. ;P

Sounds good. I love Bircher muesli, especially made with Carmen's muesli. Yum.

Yes it is Carmens. You can get it at the incredibly overpriced deli/cafe just down from my place(they call it a "provedore" of course). I add Leatherwood honey, my personal favourite. But it's not the muesli I'm objecting to. Celery is proof that a loving God does not exist...

You think "depraved" I say "deprived". Depraved. Deprived. Neither. Nyether (its phonetic...). Let's call the whole thing off...

Tomayyyyto, Tomahhhhto.

I heart Carmen's! I especially heart apostrophes of possession! (BTW the chewy bars they make are also really good.)

Me. So, not a fan of celery. There, I've said it.

fruit salad is the best; my favorite dessert still.

Fruit salad is my hot weather breakfast of choice.

Favourite dessert? Something waaaaay more squidgy and gooey. Bread & Butter Pudding for a start...

Fruit salad! Yummy, yummy!

All these comments about fruit salad and you don't nod to the Wiggles? Geesh, and you call yourselves Australian.

How long have I said that you'd LOVE The Family Stone? Not a man in there I wouldn't fuck.

What? You know Craig T Nelson is hilarious in the sack.

Carmen's rocks. it is so yummy without being full of fat, which has to be close to impossible to achieve. Carmen's & Harris Farm yoghurt is really yummo, as is Carmen's & orange juice & peaches or apricots.

I heart oats :-)

Michael, I hear you re: The Family Stone. OHMYGOD, the cute, gay, deaf brother! schwing Yeah, gay writer/director = hot male cast. I LOVE influence!

(BTW - watch the extras on the DVD. Bezucha is quite the snack himself - sort of a Michale Guy quality about him.)
