I woke up and felt like crap this morning, so decided to take the day off and finally do something about the way I've been feeling for the past week. Remember the post where I said I felt old? Well, on some days recently I've felt kind sick too. Achey all over, and headachey in particlular. Almost like I've had a low-grade fever or am in the process of coming down with some sort of bug, but then it never turned into anything. I personally think it's a combination of allergies and a really bad sinus infection, and the doc thinks this is the likely culprit too. I got some tests done to find out, and I'm expecting it to be sinus mostly.
On the upside it gave me an excuse to lie on the couch and watch screwball comedies from the 1930s and '40s. Gotta love that.

Poor thing. Hope you feel better soon. :S
Sorry to hear that. You should watch Psycho Beach Party and/or Revenge of the Nerds. They are my 'sick days' movies.
Hope you're feeling better soon!
watch did you watch???
ergh, that's *what*...
Don't put too much reliance in blood tests. Use your brains and a process of elimination to figure it out.
According to all the tests I'm fine, but I've found that if I eat ANY gluten I'll be in bed for 36 hours.
That said, it's the perfect weather for hayfever...
My favorite professor of analytical psychology often suggested that when we are feeling blue or taking life/ourselves too seriously, old screw ball comedies were indicated treatment.
I recommend the Marx Brothers.
Thanks everyone! Starting Monday I'm going to try cutting wheat out of my diet and see what it does. Could be interesting.
I bought a DVD set with 20 classic comedies on it, from one of those cheap book marketing companies that drops off a box of books to the workplace that you order from. (Not a good description, but you might know what I'm talking about.) I watched "My Man Godfrey" from 1936 and "His Girl Friday" from 1940. A hoot.
Cutting out wheat? Welcome to my world ;) Let me know if you want some tips etc. If you do have a wheat allergy/intolerance it can take months for it to get out of your system completely. I'm up to month 6 and starting to feel 'ok'.
Take it easy xx
Feet up, tv on.
I suggest a deep beef injection for whatever ails you.
Oh, and neti.
I hear colonics are good for what ails one. I've not done that. But I understand it's a good flushing of the system for toxins and such. But still..the thought of some junior nail tech drop-out shoving a rubber nozzle up my bunghole is ....hey, wait just a darn minute!
:: flipping phone book ::
Hope all is well.
The two Michaels, I chose to take the advice of one of you. Oddly, it doesn't include rubber hoses...
