The Art Of Stating The Obvious

Right up until that point...

Stating The Obvious

...I wasn't sure what it was.

A bit of Newtown oddness, seen out having breakfast with Morgan yesterday.

Er...did the place just open or what? Looks sorta' funky but not in a hip way. But great pic nonetheless. Hope you're having a fun day, Andrew.

Well it's origins are noble.....is it referring to the famous Arthur Stace who wrote eternity on the streets of Sydney...or at the very least a tricky sense of humour? I suspect not, it does look like yet another marketing ploy. Makes a nice pic tho.

The place has been open for ages, I have no idea why this piece showed up all of a sudden. It tickled my sense of humour though!

Julie, the "Eternity" thing is certainly part of Sydney history and legend. Remo did some lovely merch back in the day and helped popularise the legend. Sadly it has ben co-opted by and Evangelical Christian group (same script style even) which I find a litle disappointing.

TOA - there's an Eternity on their shopfront down on Parra Rd in Camberdown - very disappointing as you say. I have a Remo shirt, I always wanted to get the Martin Sharp print but it's always been a little too $$$ for me...

btw is the ihug addie the best way to get you? I've just sent you an email...
