Dani tagged me for a meme, and it's been a while since I dipped my toe in the meme pool, so here goes:
First town you ever lived in: Morecambe, UK, until we emigrated when I was 1.
First album owned: Abba, "Arrival" I think.
First pub gig seen: I don't remember actually seeing a pub gig as such until after I had seen a few major concerts. My first concert was Adam & The Ants! I'm ancient!
First Celebrity Crush: Gah, I have no idea! Um, maybe the cutie pie singer from Haircut 100, or the lead singer of ABC. Actually, probably either Tony Hadley (lead singer) or Steve Norman (saxaphone) from Spandau Ballet. Again, I'm ancient! How embarrassing...
First Film you remember seeing: "My Fair Lady" I think it was. It made me gay. That must have been it!
First time you drank alcohol: My parents always gave us little sips, but probably the first time I did something more than have a sip would be raiding the liquor cabinet after school in order to get my school friend Ian drunk enough to let me touch it. (He didn't take much encouagement, or alcohol. But the alcohol gave him a valid excuse I guess,)
First paying job: Shop assistant at Myers department store, Small Electrical department (irons, toasters and such).
First Kiss: Possibly Ian (see above), no doubt promptly followed by wrestling and half hearted cries of "get off me!".
I don't like tagging, but anyone care to play? Just answer the same questions.

James, where did you go? I notice your blog has disappeared... :( I miss it!
thanks for playing, and i agree tagging is lame. and you're only a tad more ancient than i am.
Thanks Dani, it was fun although it's so hard to remember some of these 'firsts' when you are ancieeeeeeeent!
Oooh I love these things. Sad, right?
First town you ever lived in: Sydney, NSW
First album owned: Michael Jackson "Thriller"
First pub gig seen: I've seen very few pub gigs and I think my first concert that I payed money for was Violent Femmes in Brisbane
First Celebrity Crush: Really can't remember. Currently have a crush on Adam Hills from Spicks and Specks though.
First Film you remember seeing: "Ghandi" It was the first film we watched when we bought a VCR. I wanted "The Care Bears Movie" but my parents got to choose.
First time you drank alcohol: I got to have a port glass of wine if my parents were having a real glass and I used to make my dad his Scotch and Dry's and you have to taste it to make sure it's correct. First time i got drunk though was at a nightclub in Cairns when I was about 15.
First paying job: It was as a techie on some show at Cairns Civic Centre.
First Kiss: I think it was a guy called Paul and I would have been about 14.
First town you ever lived in: Technically that would be the town of Gloucester in New South Wales, as that was the first town that I lived in. But the first place I ever lived in was Sydney, I was actually born here.
First album owned: Best of Elvis album I think. I was a big fan of The King when I was young. He could belt out a tune, was hot (note the use of the word was there) and had faaaaabulous taste in jewellery. As Rizzo so wonderfully sang in the movie Grease:
Elvis, Elvis, let me be
keep that pelvis far from me
First pub gig seen: OK. Let me make this as simple as I can. Practising alcoholic + 1980's + booze + pub = how the bloody hell would I know. But if you name a big 80's Aussie pub band (like Angels, or Cold Chisel) ... there is more than a good chance I have seen 'em.
First Celebrity Crush: Oh there was just so many of them, but I do recall that I had a rather particular thing for Bo in The Dukes of Hazard (John Schneider), and Christopher Atkins in a loincloth (and even nekkid!) in Blue Lagoon had me dreaming of being shipwrecked with him for years to come. Oh, shut up bitches ... so I had a thing for blondes.
First Film you remember seeing: No idea.
First time you drank alcohol: A sip (or a sneaked chug) of Dad's beer at a BBQ. I would have been young. Under 10. It was all downhill from there, really. My favourite drink was my next one.
First paying job: Bank Clerk. Which bank? Yeah, that one.
First Kiss: Jane Gardener in Kindergarten, 1970. I was all of five. She loved me.
oooh pick me :)
First town: Kellyville, NSW. once dairy farms and market gardens. now McMansion middle-class slumland.
First album: Aunty Jack Sings Wollongong. then there was a big gap, and then next was Abba: Arrival (jinx, TOA!)
First pub gig: first opera was the premier season of the Magic Flute at the Opera House in '73, does that count, dahhhlings? first rock gig of any sort was... ummmm... something in '85 when I could get to town (Sydney) by myself and go to the EntCent. so a big international act like Dire Straits, I think. first pubbish gig probably the Reels at the Sydney Cove Tavern in '87... or something at Manning Bar, same year.
(TOA, you don't know how jealous I am of your seeing Adam and the Ants. oh man!)
First celeb crush: no idea. I do remember having crushes on Robert Vaughan and David McCallum, and that's pretty early...
First Film: possibly Star Wars in '78? there would have been something before that, but we didn't get to the movies very often. also You Can't Stop the Music looms large in the memory...
First time you drank alcohol: the dregs of mum's sherry when I was probably about 6? I was allowed a small Kahlua or Vandermint on special occassions from a pretty early age. does Vandermint still exist? very tasty.
First paying job: cleaner at a child care centre. it was fun.
First Kiss: playing catch and kiss in the playground.
OK I bite......
First town : Sydney
First Album : ABBA revival (we are showing our age aren't we...and what is it with the ABBA???)
First pup gig : Screaming Jets (I think)
First Film : I can't remember the film but I remember there was a newsreel type thing first, intermission and best of all a lady came round and sold icecream in cups!!!
First alcohol : always had wine on the table and were allowed watered down versin at a young age..no idea when.
First Job : Delivering "The Manly Daily" before school
First kiss : proper or peck on cheek????
Bernadette: No, I'll join this conversation on the proviso that we stop bitching about people talking about wigs, dresses, bust sizes, penises, drugs, night clubs, and bloody Abba!
Tick: Doesn't give us much to talk about then, does it?
