Dotted througout are mirror tiles that make the viewer, or photographer, part of the mural.
It commemorates a visit by the President of Portugal, or some such malarky. I didn't even realise that Sydney had a "Little Portugal" as such, but a short walk up the street and I was surrounded by Portugese delis, cafes and restaurants. Quite the pleasant surprise.
I love this city!

Thanks! I look so serious because it took be about 16 *^$#%ing tries to get a)me in the frame and b) the autofocus on me not the surrounding tiles. I must have looked like a right old narcissist!

oooh I know what you mean :-) I did a lot of photos with mirrors at one point. it's so much fun but waiting to develop the film and then discover you had to do it all again... I heart digital!
