Poorly

There is something not quite right about having a terrible, streaming head-cold when it's beautiful Spring/Summer weather outside, you know? I did sit outside in my courtyard a bit in the late afternoon yesterday, but mostly I stayed in bed with a jumbo sized box of tissues and a rambling 1234 page science fiction novel. It could have been a blizzard outside for all I knew. It certainly would have made having a cold feel a little more apropos somehow.

Anyhoo, I'm back in the office today, but I'm not sure how long I'm going to last before that bed calls again. Just thought I'd pop in, spread some germs, and then go again. Nice, right? Giving.

Dude, do you take your vitamins? Are you eating right?

There's only a termite inspection standing in the way of me coming down there.

Sexy?

Vitamins, check. Eating right, eh most of the time, check. Sexy, right now, not so much.

Oh my gawd, give me enough time to start a crash diet before you visit, m'kay?

Drink plenty of water and, most importantly, stay positive!

You're getting better even as you read this. Remember that!

Yeah, good points Thombeau. Actually when I do get a cold they never really last very long these days. I take a garlic/horseradish/Vitamin c tablet morning and night that my naturopath put me onto, and that seems to keep sinus, colds and respiratory nastiness mostly at bay. Oh, and don't forget the nasal lavage.... no not Neti Michael!

We are still on for amateur strip finals at the Newtown, right?

I'm sure those boys in g-strings will cheer you up. And it will certainly be warm in there

Mikey, yeah I think so. I'll call you later just to confirm.

I'm counting on your in-depth reportage from the stripper finals.

Go read The Curse of Chalion and The Paladin of Souls by Lois McMaster Bujold. One of them won the Hugo, they're both great. I'm sure they'll both make you feel much better than horseradish pills.

Tell the strippers I said hi.

oh no! A miserable cold needs miserable weather to feel worthwhile. Theres nothing worse than a beautiful day mocking you as you sniffle and shiver.
Hope you didnt get public transport to work...feel the shame of public coughing!

drink hot tea with sugar and brandy and watch as much porn as you can stand.

I promise you will feel better.
