My Name Is TOA, And I Have Seasonally Affective Disorder

At least, I hope I do because then that makes me a victim you see rather than someone who has the poor taste to just be grumpy. Then it's not my fault, capice?

It's grey, it's raining, I'd like to pull up the covers and call in dead today but no work-y no money. Ack, sing a song of woe time folks, follow the bouncing mood swing! Another cup of coffee, maybe a restorative morning tea time Mint Slice biscuit or two four and dry socks/warmer toes later and then expect a post on How Very Grand Life Is.

So. What's to tell, let me see. I changed pillows last night. I've gone so overboard with the kitchen cleaning routine (using my new favourite product Vanilla Fridge Wipe - last night it was the inside of the dishwasher's turn) that my entire kitchen smells like vanilla. It's a bit much. For the second time in about 6 weeks my home phone line seems to have gone down last night. Dead air.

Time for a Mint Slice I think...

I heart Vanilla Fridge Wipe! Food safe, non toxic, mildly anitbacterial (but not aggressively so) - basically just alcohol and vanilla essence in spray bottle. Works a treat on stainless steel too. When I get to the point where the smell of vanilla makes me gag (not too far off) I will stop, but until then I am Vanilla Fridge Wipe's bitch.

dear me, how bad does it get down under? Do you get snow? worse - do you have weeks without any sunshine/blue sky?

ur-spo, we're basically just a pack of whingers because it actually isn't that bad. No snow, no sleet, no blizzards. Just a bit cold (today is 57F for example) grey and wet. It's unusal for houses here to be centrally heated though, so it can be uncomfortably cold if you live in a draughty old house (like I do).

is it a real, spicy vanilla scent, or just sweet and synthesised? I spent years hating the smell of vanilla until I smelt the real thing... which can have depth and be divine... mmm... tell me it smells real and I'll join you in being Vanilla Wipe's bitch.

57F? WHAT!? YOU are suggesting to this northern snowbird that 57F is a chilly winter day?! That's considered a warm Spring day here in the Windy City. I'd sport thongs/cargo shorts and a tank top on 57F day! YOU 'down under' lads need to winter in Chicago sometime...that'll put hair on your Aussie Bums!

I (heart) you! STAY warm, love. Cup 'o tea. Biscuits? A warm blankie?

I'm with you, MG. Oh, wait. Let me savor that thought for a moment.

Where was I? Oh yeah, I was of the same mind when I read this. It'd be hard to muster any sympathy for 57F, but I know that my particular brand of SAD is temp and climate independent (oh, shutup, it's SAD if I say it is, right, A?). Stiff upper lip, lil' soldier, the shortest day of your by all measures pathetically mild winter has already passed. Fondles, ME

Ian! Therin! As the young people say - "OMFG!" OK, everyone I know has a blog now. We need never interact in person ever again... :)

To my favourite northern hemisphere beeyotches, sure 57F is mild. Ish. But c'mon, grey and rainy with it, mkay. Anyway, when you live in paradise, anything less that glorious just rankles, you know?

Speedy, the V.F.W. smells ok - but I suspect it's possibly more synthetic than natural. It does the trick though, and a fridge that smells like vanilla of any kind is a bit more palatable than one that smells like Spray & Wipe.

I just know blogging is gonna be addictive. (Probably as addictive as vanilla - which I use, straight from a bottle of real vanilla essence, in my fridge.) Almost everything that happened today had me pondering, "Oh, is that a blog subject?"

heh vanilla fridge wipe *rocks* ! Although I do worry about overusing it and getting sick of the smell... which would be a terrible thing to happen :)

Incidently, you come up fifth in google for "vanilla fridge wipe" (right after my entry heh) which is pretty impressive considering this entry is only six days old :)
