Expectations

You know the goal posts have been shifted when you get to the end of an episode of Torchwood (like last night's episode) and think "Hey, no fair! There wasn't one single bit of man-on-man action!".

C'mon... there was that whole moment of inappropriate touching between Jack and Ianto at the beginning... and that whole "you haven't touched me in too long" look on Ianto's face...

Or maybe I was just reading too much into it again :P

No liplock! I want liplock! Yes, I did note the whole touch of support on the shoulder, and the 'you haven't touched me like that in AGES, now REALLY TOUCH ME' sort of look Ianto shoots him.

This show makes me want to claw at myself in pleasure (even if some of the extras, like the mother last night, OVERACT like someone who studied OVERACTING and passed with distinctions).

Yes, I noted the hand on shoulder scene.

Sorry to spread heresy, but I still think the show is trying to find it's range. And I found John Barrowman a little unconvincing last night. The good news is the main female lead is improving in leaps and bounds.

Sorry for the massive segue, but for those of you who watched (and loved) Ferris Bueller's Day Off (and I am one), this is a great piece from today's SMH:

Sorry, can't figure out how to linmk directly...

So Mikey, you were looking out the window during the HTML 101: The "A Href Tag" lesson right?....

Apart from Jack's bare chest and the shoulder touch, I thought last night's ep. was rather ho-hum. Let's hope Russell Davies writes some more eps as last night's writer's story was eminently forgetable.

Kerry, but it was choc full of fairies! Just the wrong kind! :)

Actually I'd forgotten the whole "naked Jack" thing... coz that was a whole world of not just chest, but strategically placed sheet action... yummy!

I do agree with Mikey that it's not quite there yet... but really, if you look at any of the shows in that kind of general ouvre they all start out a little shakey the first season or so...
