I Just Can't Get You Out Of My Head

Yesterday morning I woke up with the following going over, and over, and over in my head:
Tumble out of bed and stumble to the kitchen,
pour myself a cup of ambition,
and yawn, and stretch, and try to come alive...

I am not making this up. It's been running through my head periodically since, but not incessantly like it was yesterday morning. I don't know what this says about the dreams I was having, but there are worse ways to wake up than having a bouncy Miss Dolly warbling '9 to 5' in your head.

On the topic of things sleep related [touches wood, strokes rabbit's foot and throws salt over shoulder] but my sleep 'issues' are getting better it would seem. Last night I slept right through the night, even though I did wake an hour and a half earlier than I needed to. Still, baby steps.

Jump in the shower
and the blood starts pumping
Out on the street
the traffic starts jumping

With folks like me on the job from nine to five.

Working nine to five
what a way to make living
Barely getting by
it's all taking and no giving.
They just use your mind
and they never give you credit

It's enough to drive you crazy
if you let it.

Nine to five
for service and devotion
You would think that I would deserve a fair promotion

Want to move ahead
but the boss won't seem to let me
I swear sometimes
that man is out to get me ...

Oops, I think I might have had a bit of a blonde moment there, y'all. Gotta lurrrve that Miss Dolly. Now there a little lady who was always destined to have her whole career out in front of her.

PS. And I say this with as much love and respect as I can muster ... please remove said hands from any and all parts of the Rabbit ... thats my job.

The Gays, they loves that Miss Dolly.

Jeebus H Cripes, it's mind delusions central at TOA today. First you dished a steaming plate of aversion and now you're feeding us this jealousy party platter? :-)

(Of course I jest, mostly)

Notice the carefully typed lowercase 'r' in rabbit. Were I to risk life and limb by stroking anything of Rabbit's, well...

Jealousy is a dish best served cold ... now enjoy your damn party platter.

Of course, moi jests too ;-)

And as to anything and anoyone touching said [uppercase] Rabbit ... he would probably enjoy it anyways. The litte shit (and I say that with much love and affection) ... truly, I do.

Y'all go on and on about him and yet still no Polaroids. Rude!

Bodhi said...

Awwwwww, did anyone ever tell you that you look really cute when you pout like that, Michael? Besides, who needs polaroids when some of us have seen him in nothing more than a glowing tan ;-)

And Damn!, in Da Bunny owns words, "I make this look good".

But lets turn this around a little shall we. Despite his self-admitted loathing of self-portraits, even our beloved TOA has his photo here at the blog. And of course my photo is here too. But where is the picture of you, sweetie, darling, sweetie? Huh? Huh? Where's Michael's picture here at the blog?

Rude indeed.

I'm sorry, you said something?
Talk [stop gesture] to the hand!

Damn, I knew that would come back to bite me in the ass eventually.

In lieu of posting some banal shot, I'm working on an art piece, Bodhi, where I'll post pictures of my various body parts for interested parties to later assemble. It might come out a bit Picasso-esque, which would be just about right.

Are you taking votes on which body parts you'll post first?

Just askin'...

Michael, sweetness, I just added a link to your Blog on my homepage. Consider it a little sweetener for denying you images of Da Bunny, keeping you in a constant state of rabbity frustration and increasing curiosity.

I will be accepting votes, Andy, but you should know that Manny and Esteban can be camera shy, so don't judge!

I heart Manny & Esteban!
