As if the blast of premature Spring weather wasn't enough to make for a good weekend, in addition:
- Friday night was a fun party at Chez Harry, with a bunch of old friends that, as it turns out, included the crowd from the For Battle! blog.
- Saturday was a whirlwind of inertia, web surfing, desultory attempts at housework and a couple of hours of data entry at the Buddhist centre.
- Sunday was a most excellent visit to the Chinese Gardens of Friendship with Bodhi, and his daughter Ashley. Tea and cakes were had, fish and birds were fed, lots of photos were taken and a good time was had by all. [Photos to come in the next day or two]
- After the Chinese Gardens I walked the hour long walk home from the city in the beautiful sunshine, pottered around the house for a few hours and then headed off to my friends John & Judy's house for dinner. I got home about 10pm and then sat down to watch the final episode of Outback House.
Like I said, sweet.

Check it out, and if you are in Sydney its definately worth a visit! I have been visiting the gardens on a regular basis since it first opened back in 1987. A true oasis and place of serenity in the midst of a major city.
And DUUUUUUUUUDE, the weekend indeed was SWEEEEEET :-) Especially as Monday was a Bank Holiday for me. The only time I am happy to identify with those wankers, oops, I mean bankers, and happily put my hand up and say "ooooh, oooooh, I work in Financial Services". [Just to be clear here I work as a Corporate Insurance Property Underwriter, don't tarnish me too much with any "Banker" brush].
Rabbit picked a great day weather wise to going surfing yesterday, but he informd me there was absolutely no waves to be had and so he had to be content with "floating about and looking good". So he was a little bummed, no pun intended (... oh ok, thats a lie) that he did not come into gardens with us. I told him there are worse ways to spend a sunny winters day than floating in a calm and gentle sea with cute surfers. He agreed.
He wants to go all digital camera on the Chinese Gardens as well, so it just gives us another excuse (as if I need one) to visit again sometime soon.

Duuuuude! But what does mine say?!...
Look, I'm sooo happy that you had a lovely day off yesterday, in the sun and all, no really I am. I had a great time with you and Ashley on Sunday, and we should do it again sometime with Rabbit. I got some nice pics, and will post them probably tonight or tomorrow. Does the Bunny have his own digital camera?
As to Rabbit, surfboards & cute surfers... well, I have no words. :-)
Sweeeeeeeet ...ah! But what does mine say?! ...
Yes, Da Bunny has a digital camera.
