You're a fop wannabe, aren't you? Go on, admit it.

Love the jackets. Dressing like this would allow me to carry a swordstick, something I've always wanted.

Andrew, not much has changed since then, the fashion [if you could affort it] was different, that's all.

Their fax-machine was the telegraph and transport changed from a buggy to the steam railroad.

Love it. And if we were back in that period, my bank balance would be extremely healthy. Mid 19th C sees me as a Right Honourable!

Glad you like! I wish I knew what magazine/fashion spread these came from because the text at the bottom of each pic is just a bit too small to be legible. But yes, the clothes are by modern fashion designers (I could just make out Burberry Prorsum under one of the pics). The styling and the way they have curated a collection of clothes that all tell a story is very cool. I snitched 'em from somebody on Flickr, and they gave no provenance sadly.

Burberry celebrated its 150 year anniversary in 2006. Maybe they recreated fashion from way back when again.

Love the clothes, but I do NOT have the waste for them. Ah, well! It's sure fun to look, though.
