Commercial advertising posters have become insidious around the inner West these days, and I love this silent protest that someone has undertaken. Simply removing the effectiveness with blank white paper. Calming the visual noise.

I always assume the someone was "the Council." Less romantic, but more employees.
I think the residents should go crazy with crayons and chalk now, and get everyone involved in doing a mural. Why wait for some graffiti artist's tag when you can have insta-art?

I applaud folks who take a stand on something like urban blight like this example.
I'm torn, I love posters but I just love that long stripe of calm :-)
