It's That Time Of Year Again!

Magnolia time!

Magnolia

I took almost the exact same shot last year I think, but I'm just so happy to see these guys. It seems like one day it's a bunch of bare twigs, then the very next day BAM! it's full of buds.

They also herald the latter parts of winter and the first sniffs of spring in this part of the world, which is officially a Good Thing. I mean, check out that blue sky...

I second the gorge...motion passed.

Seems so early. Only a few varieties of magnolia are hardy around these here parts, and they bloom WELL into spring.

I love a harbinger!

It's Gorgeousness Tuesday here at TOA, which is of course why two of my favourite Michaels are first of the bat! :)

So long as it's not 'doom', I love a harbinger too!

Good lord, does winter last an entire month down there???

The Mighty Mikes are right, of course. Gorgeous!

...maybe more like 3 weeks. IT'S HELL! Actually, we've had the coldest winter in decades so it has been a bit tougher than usual. I had to put a sweater on once.

I'm loving the blue skies but I'm still waiting for those Aug/Sept winds... they will come!
