Again, how wonderful things were in November. You all just loved me sick in November, didn't you? I was so entertaining, so wonderful. Oh, and what a crushing disappointment I was to you in December and January. But, we've been through a lot together. You gave me a second chance, one that I possibly don't deserve, but you gave it to me because you're better than that, aren't you? You have it in your heart to forgive, to say "sure, I was disappointed, but let's just move on from that".
For that I love you, I really do.
Might I use this time to express my sincere 'thanks' for finding MY blog. I believe you linked my 'fuck christmas' post and the rest is history. I thought--at the time, if someone can put up with the worst side..then surely they'll hang around for the good stuff. And you have. And I am appreciative, Andrew.

Hey everyone im going to Byron Bay this weekend Friday to Sunday. Going to a chalet with a loft. Morgan, I cried the first time I saw Madama Butterfly. My then boyfriend Jon bought me 5th row centre seats as a birthday surprise. I can cry at tv commercials, so opera is no big ask for me!

I can vouch for TOA's disproportionate "assets" in an otherwise compact package. I cry at Madama Butterfly's death aria every time (of course the Callas version). It's on high rotation on my iPod. I agree with Morgan that it's all terribly unreal, but "what about the drama".... Haha!

I've never looked, because hello that's borderline technical, but just checked. 55% IE 6 and 33% Firefox.

ReplyDeletemusic and/or live performance can get you moved to tears, either of joy or sadness. it's the immediacy of the performance, of it being live and in your face. of course a recorded performance can do it too but live... doesn't it always hit a deeper nerve?
