Not So Much "Photo Friday" As "Visual Cliche Thursday"

You with the sad eyes, Don't be discouraged
    Oh I realise
It's hard to take courage, In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all, and the darkness inside you
Can make you feel so small

But I see your true colours, Shining through
I see your true colours, and that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show, Your true colours
True colours are beautiful, Like a rainbow

Show me a smile then, Don't be unhappy, can't remember
When I last saw you laughing
If this world makes you crazy, and you've taken all you can bear
You call me up, Because you know I'll be there

And I see your true colours, Shining through
I see your true colours, and that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show, Your true colours
True colours are beautiful, Like a rainbow

I can't remember, when I last saw you laughing
If this world makes you crazy, and you've taken all you can bear
You call me up, Because you know I'll be there

And I see your true colours, Shining through
I see your truecolours, and that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
    Your true colours, true colours
    True colours are shining through
I see your true colours, and that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show, Your true colours
True colours are beautiful, Like a rainbow

  2. It's mushy as all get out, but that's one of my favourite songs Bodes. Sometimes there are tears. Such lovely sentiments to it, and when Cindi sings it she puts just the right amount of 'plaintive' into it.

  3. I'm well aware that is one of your favourite songs Andrew, thats another reason that I posted it :-)

By the way, do you remember some months ago now I first commented here at your Blog that it was rumoured that Back Street Boys were going to be touring Down Under?

Well ... (and be still my beating gay heart) its on! Tickets go on sale shortly here in Sydney on December 2 for the Sydney Concert on 30 January 2006.

Oh my Brad! Oh my Brad! OH .. MY .. BRAD!!. My Backdoor Boys, here!. Breathe. Michael, Breathe. Oh my, I think I am going to pass out ...

    You are my fire
    The one desire
    Believe when I say
    I want it that way

But we are two worlds apart
    Can't reach to your heart
    When you say
That I want it that way

    Tell me why
    Ain't nothin' but a heartache
    Tell me why
    Ain't nothin' but a mistake
    Tell me why
I never wanna hear you say
    I want it that way

I'm kinda teary just thinking of it.

You two are just neat as hell. You can make me smile and then my breath catches and a tear appears. Brilliant.

  6. I can't believe I forgot to mention that I SAW Cyndi while in NY. She played outside the Today show studio on Saturday morning. Sista sounded GREAT. Looked rough, the poor dear, but sounded GREAT.

  7. Reason #48 why I envy you, Michael. I heart her very much.

I haven't seen her visage in the past few years. Rough, you say? I always thought she was pretty in her heyday.

  10. Yaniboy, there are lots of rainbow flags around my neighourhood, this was one of a pair outside a store called The Froot Store. It sells gay stuff. T-shirts, flashing things to wear at nightclubs, videos & DVDs... you know, all the essentials. :-) I'm guessing Adelaide has changed much since I lived there then.

  12. I'm always chasing rainbows
    Watching clouds drifting by
My schemes are just like all my dreams
    Ending in the sky

  13. Why are there so many songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions,
And rainbows have nothing to hide.
So we've been told and some choose to believe it
I know they're wrong, wait and see.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers and me.
