What Is Good

A cheese and onion bagel, toasted, with cream cheese. A good, no really good, black coffee (with 2 gratis Tiny Teddies). A small bottle of organic green tea with pineapple and mint.

So that's my start to the day, what's yours?

(Oh yeah, diet be damned. Whatever.)

  1. Bagels are from heaven. A big, warm, crusty NY bagel with salt. Cream cheese & scallions. It gets no better.

    Back when I had a metabolism that actually seemed to work, I had several of those a week.

  2. I hear you. About the metabolism that is. I used to joke that I have the metabolism of someone who's been dead for 6 months.

    Turns out it was more of a prediction than a joke.

    It was more than 13 hours ago, but I had a bowl of half oatmeal/half muesli and a delightfully bold and black coffee.

    As for the diet, I can't say that I've been on board either, but I really have no choice after bringing all my upsized pants to Goodwill before I moved.

    Upsized pants are like admitting defeat. I hate that. I have to buy some new jeans, and just thinking about the waistline digits is mildly depressing.

  7. My jeans are threadbare on the bottom; that's how much I dread buying new. Thank christ they still fit, though. I upsized a long time ago. My skinny jeans are a distant memory...alas.

    Now, where did I put that bagel?

    A pot of coffee is my breakfast and the only time I drink it is on waking usually. At least that was the case until one of my sisters bought me an espresso machine.
